You’re probably sick of me coming up with these posts now, but yes, I am still working on the next page. Yes, I do still have a university course to do! I have ~30 days to do two big Open University assignments but I’d like to make sure I keep drawing in the meantime.
While you’re waiting for me, why don’t you check out Love Me Nice, which is absolutely gorgeous and damn awesome? =D
I’m really sorry, a bunch of life happened. I’ll be back on it in a few weeks when my latest bunch of Open University assignments are done!
I’ve been thinking about a few things while I’ve been making BBB*RAVE.
First up, I discovered that big screens aren’t necessarily better. xD I noticed that while my iMac is approximately twice as good as my black MacBook in every resource, the screen is just kind of too big to work with. I don’t know what it is. I seem to much prefer drawing at the dining room table with my 13.3″ MacBook than I do in the solace of my room with my 21.5″ iMac at a proper computer desk.
In other news, would anyone be interested in seeing how a comic page is made from start to finish? From panels and sketches to the finished ink and tones? I suppose it would also work as a sort-of tutorial for Manga Studio.
Additionally, we now have an F.A.Q. page up there on the menu bar. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the comic!
Well guys, it’s been a while. I have recently started an Open University degree, and I have participated in National Novel Writing Month (successfully!). I’ve completed my NVQ and Modern Apprenticeship, got a permanent job, and…now I’ve got a little more time to do my webcomics! xD
BBB*RAVE will, of course, take priority over the still-in-infant-stages rejig of ヤ。オ。イ。ボ。イ。, which is now hosted at its eponymous sister site, Suiryo.
I still have to remake the theme on this site (an arduous task!), which I’ll be sure to do as a child theme this time, so that I don’t continue to spoon it when I automatically update WordPress and/or ComicPress.
I hope to see you again soon! I’ll do better at having a better story flow, and I’ve really got more character backgrounds figured out now, so it will hopefully be more immersive and enjoyable when it comes back.
So, I’m really just testing that the Twitter service I set up is working.
I also apologise for the state of the website template; I kind of spooned it in an automatic update. I’ll fix it when the motivation comes back. =(
